That awkward moment when you find out your favorite bloggers real age.
Does anyone else feel like that? It’s especially weird when they’re younger than you. I mean it isn’t really that weird or awkward. Just kind of funny to know they are about the same age as you but so “successful.” I guess I should just use it as motivation to better myself and try to find my own talents/goals.
I wish I could hibernate until spring.
I’m so sick and tired of this cold weather. Or maybe I’m just tired and need to take a nap.

New year, new adventures

Now I really can’t get to sleep. Gosh, this past week everyone has had the stomach flu. I think David and Owen had the worst of it! Those poor guys. Thankfully Owen is feeling a lot better. David is still trying to recover. I don’t even know where we caught it from. Kind of gross to think that we can pick up germs from anywhere!! Yuck. I’m just glad that we are all finally on the path to recovery!
On another note, I can’t believe that Christmas is almost here. It’s kind of crazy. Where did the time go? This year has gone by so quick for me. I feel like we just started the year and now it’s already over. I haven’t even decorated our house for the holidays. I put up our mini Christmas tree but the kids have been messing around with the ornaments that it just looks so sad and pathetic. I don’t even have the motivation to fix it or set up the rest of the holiday stuff. I was going to do it right after Thanksgiving weekend but then we went out of town for an entire week. Then when we came back I had to clean the house, do laundry, and put away our stuff. And, then this past week we all got sick. So much going on!! I guess it’s okay though because now I won’t have to put anything away, except for the tiny tree.

I guess these will have to do since there are no more Potter movies.

Love my new finds! They were all purchased at Ross. My favorite has to be the loafers. They are super trendy and really “in” this fall. They’re selling them everywhere! And, I’ve been needing new flats. These will go well with just about anything! Dress them up or dress them down!! Funny story about the turban was that I also tried on another one made by Michael Kors. It was kind of cute but it really looked like a real turban. I don’t really think of myself as a hat person but I just couldn’t pass this one up. I’ve been wanting to try the turban trend for a long time and this one is not too over-the-top. So I just had to buy it. The jacket has to be the best deal I think. You can probably find similar ones going for $30+. I like that it has the hoodie and fleece sleeves. It keeps it from looking so tough and dressed up.

I can’t believe that the holidays are pretty much here already. This year went by so fast.
I was wanting to take family portraits to send out for Christmas but maybe I should just use this instead. Maybe. We’ll see what happens.

My spoils after couponing at Rite Aid. I bought two boxes of stuffing, a box of instant potatoes, a box of au gratin, two bags of cookie mix, and two bags of ricola. My total came to 6.22 after using coupons and $4+up rewards. I also earned $5 in +up rewards in this transaction. I don’t think it was that great but I just started collecting coupons so I don’t have that many good coupons. And my computer and printer are messed up so I can’t even print out coupons off the internet!! So sad, but I’m still determined to make this couponing thing work out. It’s pretty easy and straightforward. The hard part is just waiting for good sales to use with the coupons you have.
